complain so much about the bar you patronized but justified your attendance there as "the only place to go". You're out of excuses. New bars are springing up old bars look better than ever and attitudes are changing in the highest state of competition which has ever existed in Columbus. Some of the establishments here in the city are engaging in "Bar Wars" and the customers are cating up the attention they certainly deserve. For too Columbus

prices increased steadily. On the insidė ̧ you had your bare essentials in lighting music, and restroom facilities and on the outside you had thieves and "goon squads". But it looks as if that's a thing' that is all in the past.

While talking with.. several of the downtown bartenders it seems that the bar owners are coming to the realization that they cannot keep taking from the Gay community without giving a little back. As one bartender put it. "They've taken money. for so long and just put it under their pockets; now they are seeing that they have to put some of it back into the bar." Three the

For the high standards that `are® now being maintained in some Columbus bars I commend the owners. To the patrons: It didn't take fate to create a competition which created more comfortable and attractive · bars really has the power all along you just never used it.
